We consider our

-
Energy, stamina
and overall health have improved noticeably.
-
Undesirable
symptoms have significantly diminished or disappeared
altogether.
-
They make
better choices regarding diet and health on a daily basis.
-
Their overall
quality of life has improved.
What We Believe
-
We believe that
people are affected by everything they eat, drink, breathe or
contact, and that many of the adverse conditions we suffer are
because of our failure to understand how our everyday actions
affect us.
-
We believe that
everyone is responsible for their health, and that there are
consequences when you delegate or ignore that responsibility.
-
We believe you
can only achieve optimal results when you are fully informed and
learn to make better choices about what affects your body.
About Amy Joy Smith, Nurse
Practitioner
Amy has been
a registered nurse for 29 years, and a women’s health nurse
practitioner for 16 years. She has been a practitioner, researcher
and educator in nutrition since the early 1980s and is unique in her
approach in that she blends the best of western medical science with
eastern healing modalities and natural remedies to provide robust
and informative nutrition programs for her clients.
Amy uses
blood chemistry analysis to look at the health and stress of the
individual glands and organs, screens for trace minerals, toxic
metals, and other nutrient levels to educate her clients on their
body’s own nutritional requirements and detoxification needs. She
compassionately walks people through the process of change as they
begin to incorporate new health habits into their day to day lives
to bring a greater sense of balance and vitality.
Amy received
her BS in Nursing at Syracuse University, her Nurse Practitioner
certificate at San Jose State, and her M.S. in Nursing and Public
Health at the University of Minnesota. She trained in the field of
nutritional or “orthomolecular” medicine in the early 1980’s with
Dr. Joseph Montante in Boulder, Colorado, who apprenticed under
William Donald Kelly. Dr. Kelly was the first to use computer-based
blood chemistry analysis to determine the body’s unique nutritional
needs.
Amy has
thousands of hours of coursework and experiential seminars in many
kinds of healing and spiritual disciplines. She is a certified
Rebirther breath coach and has facilitated classes and healing
retreats since 1990.
Her programs
are health oriented and education based. Amy does not treat disease
or medical conditions and her program is not a substitute for
medical care.
